Surprise Arrival!

Turns out Jonas didn't feel like waiting the next 5 weeks or so! Sunday morning about 2:00am my water broke - so we hopped in the car and drove two hours to Anchorage in the dark. Our baby boy was born Sunday afternoon, about 4:30pm, weighing 6 lbs 4 oz (not bad for a 35 weeker!)

He's doing SO WELL for a preterm arrival, exceeding all expectations. When they determined I was in active labor, they prepared us for Jonas staying in the NICU for a couple weeks, but if he doesn't have any downturns it sounds like we'll be heading home tomorrow! More than we could have hoped for.
He's gorgeous, and we love him so much already!!
